Every Sunday after church, a different member hosts Coffee Hour. It starts as soon as the service ends, and the menu is always a surprise. It’s 100% free, and everybody is welcome. Just follow the crowd to the social hall and see what’s being offered. And if you’d like to sign up to be coffee hour host, just check for openings on the sign-up calendar on the way into the social hall.
Several times a year, there are five Sundays in a month. And whenever that happens, we make a meal out of it. Literally. Instead of snacks and coffee after church, if it’s the Fifth Sunday, there’s a Potluck. That means everybody brings a dish to share. Guests are always welcome, since there’s always more than enough to go around. So if you happen to visit on the Fifth Sunday, lunch is on us!
We have one more after-church tradition, and it’s called Pie Sunday. This is always the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and after church instead of a surprise snack or a nutritious meal, we eat pie. Everybody’s welcome to bring their favorite pie to share, but (once again) there are always way more pieces of pie than there are people, so don’t hesitate to stay if you didn’t bring a pie. There’s always next year for that.
So regardless of which Sunday you visit, there’s always something (tasty) to stick around for!
